IP infringement is rampant, part 3 (Lukla edition)
We were shocked and amused to discover at Lukla (the airport town for the Everest region) a fake “Starbucks Coffee” that went to pretty extreme extents to replicate the Starbucks logo and name. (The inside looked nothing similar, however.)
They even had their own “Starbucks Mug”! And like any good collector, Jami had to have the mug, fake store or not.
Just for the record, the coffee and food was terrible. But after seeing the ballsy sign, we had to taste them. IIC, or just a geeky TM lawyer?
What is IIC?
Sorry – I meant to type that out fully. Initial Interest Confusion.
In that case, I vote for geeky TM lawyer :-).
